Analgesic and Anti-Inflammatory Firocoxib 50mg Vetnil for Dogs and Cats - 14 tablets
The active ingredient, firocoxib, belongs to the most modern class of non-hormonal anti-inflammatory drugs, which blocks the synthesis of prostaglandins through selective inhibition of the cyclooxygenase 2 (COX-2) inducing isoenzyme, responsible for the production of inflammatory mediators. Firocoxib has selectivity for COX-2 approximately 380 times greater than for COX-1. COX-1 is responsible for physiological functions in the body and due to the reduced action of firocoxib on this isoenzyme, the risks of renal and gastric impairment are significantly lower, thus presenting low rates of side effects.
INDICATION
Firocoxib Vetnil® Tablet is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory, indicated for dogs as an anti-inflammatory and analgesic, and can be used to relieve pain and inflammation associated with the perioperative phase.
HOW TO USE
Product indicated for dogs, at a dose of 5 mg/kg, once a day, orally:

Cartridges containing 14 tablets of 200 mg (25 mg of firocoxib) and 400 mg (50 mg of firocoxib). Cartridges containing 7 tablets of 1200 mg (150 mg of firocoxib).
