Meloxinew 3% Injectable Vetnil Anti-Inflammatory for Horses 50ml
Meloxinew® 3% Injectable is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, at a concentration of 3%, with preferential activity in inhibiting cyclooxygenase 2 (COX-2). The main mechanism of action of Meloxinew® 3% Injectable is the preferential inhibition of COX-2 and, consequently, the ability to block the biosynthesis of prostaglandins, mediators of the inflammatory process. The preferential action on COX-2 minimizes side effects on the gastric mucosa of equines, which provides safe use, associated with the effectiveness of its anti-inflammatory action.
INDICATION
Meloxinew® 3% Injectable is indicated for the treatment of inflammation and pain (acute or chronic) in cases involving soft and musculoskeletal tissues. It is also indicated for controlling pain and inflammation in the post-surgical period.
HOW TO USE
For use in equines, intravenously or intramuscularly.
Administer at a dose of 0.6 mg/kg of body weight, which is equivalent to 2.0 mL of the product for every 100 kg, every 24 hours, for 5 to 7 consecutive days. Dosages may be changed according to the veterinarian's instructions.
