Common sugar (sucrose), which is commonly used as an energy source for hummingbirds, is a disaccharide that must first be digested before it can be used as energy by the hummingbirds. Dextrose, on the other hand, is a monosaccharide, so it can be used immediately by the birds. Thus, dextrose can support denser populations of hummingbirds in your garden.
In parallel, Megazoo Hummingbird Nectar , in addition to being naturally colored, contains vitamins, minerals and amino acids to help with the nutrition of hummingbirds. Mix two tablespoons for every 250 ml of water and place in a suitable container (preferably with artificial flowers) for a maximum of 2 days.
