Vetaglós Healing Ointment for Horses 50g

The Vetaglós® Ointment formula contains highly effective antimicrobial agents in combating the various microorganisms that may be present in dermatological infections. Gentamicin is active against Enterobacter aerogenes, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, indole-positive and indole-negative Proteus species, Pseudomonas aeruginosa , some non-pigmented Serratia species and many species of Salmonella and Shigella . Sulfanilamide and sulfadiazine are active against Streptococcus, Proteus, Pasteurella and Salmonella species, as well as Staphylococcus aureus and E. coli . They are also highly effective against Clostridium perfringens and against the Bacteroides and Fusobacterium genera. The antibacterial activity of sulfa drugs is increased by the urea present in the Vetaglós® Ointment formula.

Vetaglós® Ointment also contains vitamin A in its formula, which has an extraordinary effect on the epithelium, helping in its maintenance and regeneration.

INDICATION

• In superficial skin wounds or those that are difficult to heal;

• In infected wounds in areas with highly mobile joints;

• In infected wounds and bruises caused by saddles and harnesses;

• In infected wounds or bedsores, epithelial loss, abrasions, itching of the hoof and skin;

• In infected and purulent ulcers, boils and abscesses;

• In burns and vesicular and varioliform eruptions;

• In dermatitis and skin cracks;

• In the protection of surgical wounds.

HOW TO USE

Apply a thin layer, 1 to 2 times a day, after cleaning the affected areas. Treatment should be continued for 48 hours after symptoms disappear.
