Megazoo Extruded Guinea Pig Food
Guinea pigs are herbivorous rodents with characteristics that are very different from those of hamsters, gerbils and mice. Among the main differences are the need to ingest vitamin C, a greater amount of energy and protein in their diets, a correct balance of fibers and restrictions on the levels of calcium they can ingest. MEGAZOO has taken care to meet all the specific needs of this group, thus producing a differentiated product for this species.
HOW TO USE: Feed GUINEA PIG freely, as the sole source of food or together with hay from various grasses. As an enrichment, it is also possible to offer the product together with GUINEA PIG MENU. It is essential that there is an adaptation period when introducing the food for the first time. During this period, it is advisable to provide this product mixed with the usual food in the following proportion:
- Day 1 to 5: ¼ MEGAZOO and ¾ usual food
- Day 6 to 12: ½ MEGAZOO and ½ usual food
- Day 13 to 17: ¾ MEGAZOO and ¼ usual food
- From Day 17: 100% MEGAZOO.
