Despite their physical similarity, rabbits belong to the order Lagomorpha, and are therefore quite different from rodents such as guinea pigs and hamsters, thus requiring a different type of nutrition. Especially when it comes to ornamental rabbits, Megazoo, with a multidisciplinary team and specialized breeders, has taken great care to provide adequate nutrition for these more demanding breeds. Special attention has also been paid to the level of starch, which in high proportions or when unbalanced with fiber, can be harmful to rabbits. With this in mind, the use of whole grains from cereals, which are normally rich in this nutrient, was controlled. To better nourish the offspring, the company also took care to provide different levels of energy and protein, as well as greater availability of micronutrients.
