SUPPORT FIRST MILK 100G SACHET | Colostrum Substitute for Newborn Dogs and Cats
Support First Milk Colostrum is a complete and balanced food formulated for newborn dogs and cats, being an alternative option to maternal colostrum.
Ideal for situations where there is a lack of maternal colostrum, such as death of the mother, lack of milk production, rejection of the puppies by the female or neonates that are too fragile to feed themselves.
Breastfeeding care
Always breastfeed your baby with its belly down (prone position) and with its head slightly tilted forward.
The bottle must have a hole just large enough for the product to drip, thus preventing the baby from choking.
Keep the puppy's environment warm at a temperature of 30º to 32ºC.
At this stage, do not give your puppy any other type of food or drink other than Support First Milk.
Before each feeding, stimulate the puppy's urination and defecation by lightly massaging the genitals with a cloth or tissue moistened with warm water.
Consult your veterinarian if you notice any abnormalities in your puppy.
How to prepare Support First Milk
Add 01 (one) level measure of Support First Milk and 03 (three) measures of filtered, boiled drinking water at room temperature to a container (01 measure = 8ml).
Mix well until completely dissolved.
The product must be offered to puppies at a temperature of 37ºC.
Use a syringe or bottle to give the reconstituted Support First Milk to your puppy.
Discard any reconstituted milk that is not consumed.
Below is a guidance table for supplying reconstituted Support First Milk.
The table is for guidance only, it is possible to provide a larger quantity if the puppy wants it.
Provide Support First Milk only from the 0th to the 3rd day of the puppy's life.
After the fourth day, it is advisable to replace it with a milk replacer specific to each species: Support Milk Dog (for dogs) or Support Milk Cat (for cats).
